Rent Geely Emgrand 2024 in Dubai

Open the boot before you judge this car. On the highway it cruises happily at 120 once it gets there, but overtaking uphill with five aboard takes patience and planning. Cheap kilometres

Nearly 15 km per litre from the modest engine, and a 50 litre tank, put the Emgrand's realistic range around 700 km. For a monthly renter commuting daily, that's fortnightly fuel stops and small ones. Salik tolls and RTA fines bill through to you as the driver, standard for Dubai, and with a car this easy on petrol they may end up the larger line on your costs.

Size and summer

At 4.64 metres the Emgrand is a proper mid-size sedan, longer than the crossovers around it, so allow for that in older parking structures with tight bays. It's still an easy car to place, with a normal sedan view out and light steering. In summer the AC needs a couple of minutes more than a small hatch to chill the bigger cabin after the car has baked in a lot, and then holds the temperature without strain. Rear passengers do fine on the highway; give the system a head start before the family gets in.

The right renter

Rent the Emgrand if luggage, passengers or comfort per dirham lead your list: airport arrivals, families, and anyone on a monthly rental who values space and low fuel bills over pace. Skip it if your driving is mostly solo and you'd enjoy the drive itself, because the Coolray is the more entertaining car with the same seats.
