Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Bintali ("Bintali", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you use bintali.ae or rent a vehicle from us.

We process personal data in line with Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (the UAE PDPL) and other applicable UAE law.

Bintali is the data controller for the processing described in this Policy. For any privacy matter, use the contact details above.

Identity and contact details: your name, phone number, email address, driving licence, Emirates ID or passport details. We collect these to verify who you are, meet UAE rental and traffic law requirements, and communicate with you about your booking.

Booking and payment details: the vehicle, dates, delivery address and payment card details processed through our payment providers. We collect these to perform the rental contract, take payment, and settle Salik crossings, fines and other charges arising from your rental.

Technical data: IP address, device and browser information, and website usage statistics. We use these to keep the website secure, diagnose problems and improve how it works.

Optional data: approximate location, if you allow it, used only to show relevant options while you browse, and marketing preferences if you opt in. We do not track your location in the background and we do not share location data with anyone.

We share personal data only where the rental service requires it. That means payment processors to take and refund payments, and our insurers and repair workshops when handling an accident or claim.

It also means hosting and IT providers who run our systems under contract, and the police, the RTA or other authorities where the law requires it, for example when a traffic fine or Salik charge is registered against a vehicle you rented.

We do not sell personal data to anyone.

We keep booking and account records for up to five years after your last rental, payment records for the period UAE tax law requires, and marketing data until you withdraw consent. Data that is no longer needed is deleted or anonymised.

You may ask us to delete your account at any time, subject to records we are legally required to keep.

Under the UAE PDPL you can ask for access to the personal data we hold about you, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, restriction of processing, and a portable copy of data you provided.

You can object to processing based on our legitimate interests and withdraw any consent you gave, without affecting processing that happened before withdrawal.

The website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep sessions working, remember preferences and measure how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking some cookies may affect how the website functions.

We protect personal data with encrypted connections (HTTPS), restricted access on a need-to-know basis, and secure storage with our infrastructure providers.

No system is completely secure, but we review our measures regularly and limit what we collect to what the service needs.

Our services are for adults who can legally rent a vehicle. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18, and if we learn we hold such data we will delete it.

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the website or by email before they take effect, and the effective date above always reflects the current version.
