The parts that feel the price

We will be straight about the trade. The steering is light and a bit vague, which is fine in traffic and less fine when you are threading a 4.77 metre car into an older multi-storey bay in Deira. Summer, and a note on the white paint

The white paint is the right colour for this city. After a morning parked outside in July the J7's cabin still heats up like any car here, and because the cabin is large it takes a couple of minutes longer to pull down than a small hatch would. Start it, crack the windows for thirty seconds, then let the front vents do their work. They are strong, and once the car is cool it stays cool. Salik tolls and any RTA fines are billed to you as the driver, so plan your route if you want to keep the toll count down.

Who should book it

Book the J7 if you are 18 to 20 and want a proper full-size feel rather than the smallest car your budget allows, or if you are any age and your week includes airport runs, back-seat passengers, or long highway commutes.
