Comfort over a full week

The gray cabin stays civilised in traffic as well as at speed. Wind and road noise are well suppressed for the class, the driving position adjusts low or high to taste, and the AC recovers a hot parked cabin quickly, with vents for the rear bench so back-seat passengers aren't negotiating for airflow in August. Four adults travel comfortably. The 438 litre boot takes a serious luggage load, though if cases are your main concern rather than the drive, any CX-5 in our fleet covers that.

One honest caveat: the ride is on the firm side of the class. You feel expansion joints on the raised highway sections a little more than you would in something softer.
