The Corsa has nothing to do with the vans. It's a 2023 five-door hatchback with a 1.2-litre engine, a 309-litre boot, and orange paint that makes it easy to find in a Marina tower car park. It suits one or two people, a resident whose own car is in the workshop, or a family that's taken a Zafira and wants a small second car for the week.
If the orange Corsa is booked, the nearest cars on our fleet are the Citroen C4 and the Peugeot 2008, which share its 1.2-litre engine, and the MG3, which is cheaper. They're all with the hatchbacks, and the C4 is the one to take if you liked the Corsa's boot.
When the Zafira isn't the answer
For nine people who each have a full case, the Hyundai Staria is the better nine-seater. It's taller than the Zafira and its bay behind the fourth row takes three or four large cases upright with every seat in use, which the nine-seat Zafira can't do. Both nine-seaters live with the vans, and if the trip is nine people with real luggage, that's where to look.
At five or six people, a seven-seat SUV is usually the nicer week. The Exeed VX and the Chevrolet Tahoe are quieter on the E11 and easier in a Marina car park. The Zafira wins from seven people with luggage upwards, and between the two layouts, take the seven-seater unless you have counted nine heads.
